Shouldn't that be Todd Rundgren? Or am I missing a Nilsson song somewhere?
I stand corrected, and thank you! Corrected accordingly.

I relied on a hazy memory of a TV commercial for a K-Tel album from Once Upon a Time. I think the same album had Jackson Browne's 'Doctor My Eyes', Maria Muldaur's 'Midnight at the Oasis', and many, many more!!!

But hey, you've seen the value of relying on my memory. :e2shrug:

and many, many more!!!

...AND MANY MORE!

One thing I'd like to ascertain before I leave this world
Is who this person is in the commercials that I've heard.
They advertise for records and songs of days of yore
And prominently mentioned is this gal named 'Minnie More'.

They run these ads both day and night, you cannot help but see.
They are on all the channels that I get on my TV.
They interrupt my reverie and really are a bore,
But still I have to wonder, just who is this 'Minnie Moore'?

I search upon the world wide web, no detail do I find.
It is my new neurosis, an obsession of some kind.
She always is the last one named, the well-known come before,
They always end the list with the elusive 'Minnie Moore'.

I have become possessive of this fetish I have found.
I want to know the secret of her voice, her style, her sound.
Was she a minnesinger, a chanteuse or troubadour?
Or am I just imagining this person, 'Minnie Moore'?

I know it is a stretch to think that anyone could be
So stupid as to buy the junk they hawk on the TV.
Yet though I order cassette tapes and CD's by the score,
I still have yet to hear a thing sung by this 'Minnie Moore'
