I am looking for a word that describes an object or situation which is out of place when considering it in a specific context.

For instance, a man wearing a three-piece suit in story set against a medieval backdrop.

Another choice would be: incongruent, or an incongruency.

anachronism is, specifically, something in the wrong time. Like a soldier in the civil war wearing a Rolex.
