Stephen Fry on Poetry

I don't know if this has been brought up before, and this might be like preaching to the choir, but here are some youtube clips of Stephen Fry talking about poetry and language. I really love these videos, watching them makes me feel guilty for not writing more, but also very proud of the fact that I do write.

I especially liked the part where he's comparing poetry to eating chocolate.

Feiss, you are, like, way behind the times, man.

I bought his book "The Ode Less Travelled" on the day it was published, like, YEARS ago.

The Fry is a god in my house. He can do no wrong. I adore him so much my ladyparts ache, and he's a gay!

So my yearning shall be in vain.

Well...why the hell haven't I seen that?!

I must confess that I was not familiar with who he was until I saw the series I just mentioned. Been checking him out since, though. I have to look into that documentary.

Look up some episodes of the panel game show QI on YouTube as well, or any other available sites. The man is a walking encyclopaedia, articulate, funny, entertaining and just simply the best human being alive today, bar Colin Farrell and even then I think I'd choose The Fry over Colin because I want to sit at his feet and gaze up at him adoringly.
