Seeking to revive this thread since I haven't seen any recent posts regarding Highlights Magazine. Given that they are still one of the top, and best, publishers of children's short fiction, we must have writers submitting there.
Highlights published a couple of my stories in the past--about a decade ago--when I was writing part time and sending fiction out. Having recently left academia and started writing full time, I am again sending out submissions. Submittable is new to me, and I'd be interested in hearing from other writers who have used it to submit to Highlights. Do you notice any change in response times? Have you changed how you follow up with editors re submissions, etc.
