How long will I be an Esteemed New Member. I assume it has to do with the number of posts. Do you have a listing of the Subtitles/# of posts that I am just not finding?

I love this forum, btw!

Hello. Glad you love the forums!

I can't remember what the titles change to as you go, but you're correct; they are related to the number of posts made. However, you can change your title yourself, if you'd like. Here's how:

Click on User CP
Scroll down to Edit Profile
Choose Optional Information
Fill in Custom User Title
Save Changes

You can even reset it later if you wish. Have fun!

Thanks! I went to the User CP and clicked on Edit Profile, but I didn't find a field call Custom User Title. I did add my birthday and url, though.

Oh, is it 50 posts before you can change your subtitle? I thought that was just for changing your avatar. Shows how much I know. Heh.

!!Now I remember!!! :Smack: I tried real hard to make it to 50 posts (way back when) and once I did, I got my spiffy subtitle courtesy of our wonderful Jenna. I should never try to be helpful when my blood sugar is low. :gone:

Out of morbid curiousity, is there a thread around here somewhere that lists the user titles you get when your post count reaches certain levels? I could've sworn I saw one at some point, but it may have only been for reputation points . . .

Alright, so now I am a Super Member, which is super great. But I still can't figure out how to customize the avatar (i.e. use my own picture) or the line under my username, except I kinda like Super Member, it's like being a super hero or something.

You are too funny III. This is totally a blast from the past. And I feel so honored to see it was Mac and Joanne and Anne and even Jenna who were helping me out. I didn't quite grasp their importance at the time. It is interesting too becuase I couldn't remember when I had joined. I lurked for a while, so I am sure it was before June 05, but this is telling.

ETA: III did you ever figure out how many posts you need to be cool?

Doh!

Well, see though, there was a switchover to a new board so everyone who joined before a certain date has the same join date of when we switched to the new board. But this thread tells me I must have not joined too much before my join date indicates...but I know I found AW before 05 becuase I was still single when I joined. I just lurked, a lot.

Aww, thanks, Sass. Yep, Feb 05 was when we switched over to the vBulletin board. Before that, we had an ezBoard, and before that... darn. I forget. We've had the forums in some incarnation or another since around 1998.

Heh. There are about a zillion of us "July 06" types floating around too. Some of us joined just before She Who Shall Not Be Named got the plug pulled and out memberships evaporated. Some of us discovered AW because of the publicity surrounding the event. There was a whole flood of us right about then.
