Love Bathwater too, lol. Especially the New Orleans funeral march at the beginning.
And Gravity is a good one ;)

Cheering you all on!
"Gravity" was in the original, and "Bathwater" is new (not because of any new scenes, but just because I realized it was perfect, and since all the rest of the Sins got their own songs, Envy gets to have one too).

I just had a burst of inspiration for a new novel from a song. <sighs> Need to finish editing LS first.

Okay I need help.

I'm trying to write a scene where my MC just wakes up and she's been kidnapped and is trying to escape. I need some darker music to help the mood and I'm having trouble.

Any suggestions?

Evanescence is always good....Seether, Blue October, Three days grace, AFI, Mudvayne These are all rock bands...I use them to get dark :) Their songs have great lyrics

3SM is great (partly because of Jared Leto, and his uber sex appeal [well, in my adolescent eyes]).

I have a new WIP, so I thought I'd share the songs:

The Promise and the Threat by Evans Blue (pretty much the theme song.)
Vienna by The Fray (another one on my other soundtrack, but they fit this story more.)
The Outsider by A Perfect Circle
Lacrymosa by Evanescence
Naive by The Kooks
Look in my Eyes by Rains
Heroes by Shinedown (my favorite by Shinedown. I'm disappointed by their new song, Second Chance).
Breakdown by Tantric
Clowns (Can You See Me Now) by T.a.T.u
Stupid Girl by Cold
Calm Water by Milla
Toxicity by System of a Down
Beware (the Water) by Deftones
District Sleeps Alone by The Postal Service
Bend by Kevin Matisyn
Rough Cut by Amber Rubarth
MakeDamnSure by Taking Back Sunday
Over Night by Aya
Ghost of You by My Chemical Romance
Hate Me by Blue October
My Apocalypse by Escape the Fate

I reused some from my other WIP.

I have a couple to add to my CFW soundtrack:

June Carter by Andy Elwell
In This Field by Andy Elwell
Nothing Better by The Postal Service.

These are all for the more depressing bits, like when my MC gets her heart broken.

Ahh...true. But I'm not sure happy for you means the same thing for me. My happy ending would be Whitley + Nathan, and screw the awkward legal details. But that might not be what you have in mind lol.

lol. Dude, Second Chance is more for Whitley and her parents. "Breathe" (which may be replaced by this Avril Lavigne song I just found) is Whitley and Nathan's last song.
