This is a really good post!
I'm covering the same thing on my blog on Friday.

Against art: Writing is about communication. If you write something that only a few people in the world can understand it defeats the purpose.
I'm not sure this is against art though...

Not really writing related, but I do have a nifty wind turbine collapse if anyone's interested, as well as some comments on the subject.

John Grisham promised to provided the Do's and Don'ts for Writing Popular Fiction...but I think he failed. I gave it a try: Anne Glynn's Do's and Don'ts for Writing Popular Fiction.

    We need to laugh, dammit.
    From SOULLESS:
For four years, I was the bully and Eric was my victim. Thatís just the way it was. That summer, everything changed. But we were just kids, dealing with forces beyond our understanding or control.
    Way the fuck beyond.
We just didnít know it at the time.

Haven't posted in here in a long while, mostly because I haven't kept up with the blog very well the last few years. But this post may be interesting to some, my new headstone cleaning hobby:

There's no doubt about it. I'm a glutton for punishment.
I could stop eating it anytime I like but so help me it's like 24/7 buffet that never goes bad and always gets restocked. And I'll be damned if I'm not carrying a box of plastic utensils in constant readiness for the feast on which I am about to gorge.
    Full Disclosure
