Hello, everyone. I'm a lady of very mature years, with two published books behind her. The first is a novel in two parts, set in the 1930s and 40s in Hampshire, and the second, a WW2 story for all ages of a small family who move to the country to escape the raids over Portsmouth and live in a converted railway carriage. The first novel was published by Authorhouse, which was expensive but has been moderately successful. The second, published by YouWriteOn is currently doing the rounds and has sold well so far. Unfortunately, I am in dispute with YWO but hope to resolve all the issues soon. I live in a top floor retirement apartment in Bournemouth and my other hobbies are - making parchment cards, playing a keyboard and walking. I have been married for almost 58 years, have two sons, two daughters, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with number four on the way. Pet hates are television (yes, that's right), badly behaved children, and drivers who use mobile phones while on the move. The love of my life is, of course, writing.

I'm far too young to have been there for the air-raids, but when I lived in Portsmouth (1995 to 1998) it was still obvious that it had taken a pounding in the war (and that many of the damaged areas had been rebuilt in the 1960s, in concrete, absolutely horribly.)
