Restless leg syndrome, social anxiety disorder, female sexual dysfunction, celebrity worship syndrome - it seems that a new illness is invented every week, covering every potential quirk in human behaviour.
Is the human condition becoming a medical condition?

Very interesting read. I'll try to comment later when my toddler isn't trying to 'help'...

Agorism FTW!
Yes, the medical profession, like religious leaders, politicians, lawyers, and insurance salesmen, prey on the fears of people to elevate their position in society. I'd argue that fearmongering, not prostitution, is actually the world's oldest profession. :D

Yah, it's getting ridiculous. And it also makes it harder for people with real diseases to be treated properly.

Like ADHD? The way kids are prescribed Ritalin, you'd think it was freaking candy or something.

Top searches on the Internet? Health-related websites. Although it is dangerous if people take what they read, at face value. I better go, I think I'm getting a case of 'the vapors.'
