I agree with Richard B's second choice and with Robj. The sentence is perfectly understandable without the commas.
Robj's reconstruction illustrates a major reason for commaitis: mis-ordered clauses. The suggested correction demonstrates one of the best ways to cure it.

Yes--I like the RichardB's first example. The fragment issue can be adjusted. Too many commas can make a sentence cumbersome, even when they are used correctly.
