Hi everyone. I'm a 33 year old barman who's been writing most of my life, but mainly just for myself and I'd like to change that. I love fantasy, especially on the darkish side, such as Anne Bishop's Black Jewel trilogy (can't recommend this enough. It's brilliant). My other favourite authors are George R R Martin (if he ever finishes dance of dragons), the late David Gemmel, and Sara Douglass' Axis trilogy (which is where I got my handle).
I used to write a fair bit when my circle of friends consisted of other writers, but it kept getting shoved to the background (work can do that sometimes). One day, not so long ago, I realised that if I don't start doing what I want with my life now, I probably never will, so I hunted for stuff to improve my techniques and networking, and here I am.
I've only been published once, in a Picture magazine for a short story about a guy who blows his mate's head off over a game of monopoly, but I hope to increase the list fairly soon.
Well, that's about enough rambling for the time being. I hope I can help you guys as you help me along the way.
