Yes, the very least. But from my perspective, it's worse, since 9-11 did herald a security crisis, whilst many of the new crises are being manufactured.

If you take a snippet from a 2:47 video of an interview that obviously ran longer(we don't even hear the question Emanuel is responding to) turn it into a one-liner, ignore the rest of the statement and run with it, you can pretty much make it fit any scenario you want it to.

Well, many may focus on Obama, but the reality is that it's the two party career politicians that will stand in the way of America's resurrection. Lord knows, how very close those two party politicians are to the people who have taken our economy to a hair's breadth of ruin, and they are indeed as guilty as any of those multi-million dollar bonus boys on Wall Street.

I stand behind Obama. I didn't trust him, didn't vote for him but I believe he's worth supporting. He's showing gumption and a decency in his priorities I haven't seen in near two decades. I think as long as he enjoys immense popularity among all those average Americans that see him as their voice, he'll achieve something. In fact, as long as he enjoys common support, I think he might have the power to level some of those insurmountable mountains.

Yeah, I do. Tell me how snubbing small business in the stimulus package, the small businesses which created over 92% of jobs in this country is gonna make things better?

But that's change for you.

Tell me how Wall Street feels, which is an indicator of all business sentiment in the country, when the DJIA, which was over 9000 when Bam got elected is now just over 6500? Socialism and Wall Street capitalism doesn't mix well.

Now this change is to, bottom line, change the whole 'business plan' of the USA. That's a killer for business, which creates jobs.

That is, except for government jobs, which Obama doesn't seem to be very successful in filling even vacant gov jobs, much less new gov jobs.

But that's a change, and that's what folks wanted.

Tell me how a housing bailout which restricts the qualifications to 105% of value to getting help? In Nevada, Arizona, and California the home prices have plummeted over 35%. My house as an example, I put down 20% on a 417G place. Nine months ago it was appraised at 320G for my bankruptcy. Word is it's now down another 15% at least, taking it to about 280G. No way can we qualify, and no one else in the state can, either.

Tell me about Bam keeping the 'moratorium' on foreclosures going since goddamn December. My business has gone from $7000 a month to $900. There are over 30,000 foreclosed properties in Vegas which cannot go to market because of this goddamn 'moratorium'. That 30G of properties represents a loss, just for businesses like mine, of $500,000 just in this one city.

But I'm not alone, these houses in limbo means that Realtors, locksmiths, pool care people, landscapers, painters, carpenters, handymen, sign post installers, home inspectors, mortgage writers, etc., etc, etc, have also been royally screwed.

But those 30,000 homes are gonna come to market in one huge tidal wave, and that'll destroy home values in this town, and all the others.

This stupid 'smoke and mirrors' bit will have a hugely negatively impact on housing prices while completely shutting off revenue for all who make money in real estate, as listed above.

Clinton reminded us that we need to know what the definition of words are. We assumed we all knew what Obama meant when he said 'change'.

Two dimes and a nickle are 'change' too.

And Bush taught us how much can happen to a country when you rule with a big stick called Fear. When you wield Fear like a weapon, you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want.

Many people, including myself, wanted more clairity of Obama's positions prior to the election, and we never got them.

I noted several times here at P&CE that people put in their own thoughts of what that change would be. Obama was like an empty canvas, and people painted on it what they wanted to see.
