    Hey, ya Yo-ho-ho
Hungry Siding was a hellion pirate!
    He plowed the sea seeking
    ships to raid for
    Bread and cheese!
    A side of beef!
    And 24 dozen pecka peas
    A barrel of beans!
    And a keg of tea!
    Hey, ya ho ho ya!

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them--Matthew 7:12

There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action.--Johann Wolfgang Goethe

I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.--Vincent Van Gogh

    Ginned-up Gristmill Gore

Great Granola! Fields full of hearty grains
sifted, sorted, milled then toasted into tasty tidbits
filled us up – each select scoop discreet

    until pulverized, pounded and
re-packaged as tidy packets of palatable,
productive serials, fruited or plain –
    dated, time-stamped, well-preserved.

Great Granola! Sure some nuts tried to bolt,
and some seeds failed to yield or
blew out, tired. But hey now, another chomp may
find it perfectly fine, amazin’ even

“Great Granola” New! but (really) not
improved: Alas, we munch a monster mash
poured into a funnel cake of mirrors,

graze on drizzled dweebs in need
of serious baking, and wash it all
    down with water from Flint
    that’s tough to swallow –

    if only the raisins
    had been ginned.

Please rinse thoroughly after consuming this poem - it's really all about the data and such - clear your history!!

    Lunch today was superseded
    by the memory of you
placing a cold chunk of watermelon
    in my mouth
while we lay underneath the piano
    on Saturday night

How the juice did cascade into me
singing the true name of summertime
    all down my throat
which was itchy from spring pollen
and looking for the right words
    to keep you with me
under the shade of the piano
