The most recent sale I find for her is from 2005, and her co-agent, Greg Parasmo, left the agency last year to join Scholastic. She's still in rights listings for existing clients/books, but it looks like she's not actively agenting.

I had extensive dealings with her in 2007 when she read the full manuscript of my novel. I've seen sales for her since reported in Locus.

Oh God. Now you're asking.
I'll have to dig through my old copies of Locus

Sorry. :D After I had my coffee, I was awake enough to trawl Google Books, which finds stuff for '06 and '07, so she was indeed selling after 2005, just not reporting it to PM.

Linn is my agent. Got me a two book deal with Forge in Oct/08. She's great.

I received this message from her assistant in June 09:

"Thank you for your recent query. We’ve reviewed it, and at this point in time we’re going to have to pass. The premise is good, but the writing itself is not yet up to par. There are many books on writing, style and usage, and it would be a good idea to consult several and edit your manuscript accordingly. Please feel free to query us again after you’ve done some work polishing your writing."

To me, that says she is definitely still in the business and taking the time to really look at her queries. I was actually impressed with the thoroughness of the response in comparison to many of the form letters I have received. Since receiving it, I have enrolled back into college and started a major revision of the work. I plan to resubmit to her soon. Wish me luck.

Query Tracker shows 36-42 day response time for rejections. Only one request at 10 days.

She appears to be responding to most everybody, but is still answering February queries.

Sorry to hear Anaquana. I will probably be getting my R pretty soon too. So far I am at 17 rejections and 1 request for a partial. Go me! Querying is much tougher than I imagined; very mentally fatiguing.

About a month after I sent my query + first 10 pages + synopsis I got a request for the first fifty and a more detailed synopsis.

Unfortunately I can't send it off yet, as another agent has an exclusive. Still, I'm happy.

Will keep you guys updated.

April 7th - Queried, addressed to Ms. Prentiss. (Whoops.)
May 6th - Request from Amy Hayden for first fifty pages and a two-page synopsis, sent same day. (With an apology for not addressing it to her.)
June 3rd - Request for full at ten minutes to midnight. Have been bouncing ever since.
