"Author bio" versus "resume"

One of the agents I'd like to submit to request a resume rather than a bio. Do you have any guidance you can lend on this?

The only direct hit I found was this:

Ask the agent to clarify what sort of information he/she wants on this resume.

It's uncommon in book publishing to be asked for a resume -- unless you're submitting a nonfiction and the agent or editor wants to know your qualifications for writing such.
