Another update! There are now FIFTY AGENCIES on this list. Incredible. I never thought I would find that many. Good luck to all querying!
New to the list: Nancy Gallt Literary Agency. No web presence, but the info is backed by a client of theirs.
Also new:
Pippin Properties, Inc. I really want to get my hands on David Small's graphic memoir, STITCHES.
The info comes from
this blog entry, posted last month by someone who went to the NJ SCBWI. It looks like all the agents and editors who went were given a sheet with ticky boxes to check off what they're interested in.
This is especially important for anyone who already has an agent and is out on submission, because the post lists nine or ten YA editors who are looking for graphic novels! I already sent it on to my agent, and hopefully some of them are new places we can consider.
The site does list a few other agents, but I haven't been able to find any sources that back up whether they represent graphic novels or not. If anyone can confirm that it's true, it'd be much appreciated. In particular, I'm wondering about Jenni Ferrari-Adler (of Brick House), and
Scott Treimel NY.
