What do You Want for Christmas?

I want to get a novel written that has a good chance of getting published.
I want to get the promotion at work I deserve and I've been told I'm in line for.
I want the TAs at my son's university to sign a contract and go back to work, so he can finish his BA.
I want my daughter to pass all her courses, and not have a nervous breakdown whilst doing it.
I want to have fun, and do something or go somewhere that I've never done or been before.
I want to love more, laugh more, live more.


Oh, and a million or so dollars wouldn't hurt, either.

The others, I can live without for now.

I already got what I wanted. A new phone, the super-duper Blackberry Bold. For the ambitious journalist or executive in your family.

a fully functional interstellar space ship--with bucket seats.

WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS:
My brother back... The new MacBook... An attention span... All my credits... This shirt... More markers... To figure out how things really are... And, a puppy.

What I want:

New bridle for my kiger mustang
Lots of books[preferably thick ones]
Too get a good amount of my novel written[before I go back to school]
For my mom to get better
A tiger
For our 5 rottweiler puppys to grow up strong and healthy and for there new familys to spoil them rotten.
One of my simese cats, Hershys, to come home.[she's only a kitten]
For everyone on AW to have a great holiday

A bajillion dollars.
and a divorce.

An end to this global recession

A job for my husband
An easy birth for my coming baby & of course, a healthy baby
A house of our own
financial security
an agent or publisher

...that would about do it.

To find the writing process that works for me
Money--I'd be happy with at least $50,000 but more would be fine
To find the important papers I've misplaced

Everything else seems to be going pretty well in general, so I'd give any other wishes out to people who need more than I do.

I want my little guy to not have to have surgery
I want my writing mojo back
I want to do well in all my classes
I want to live well and happily (and wish the same for everyone else)


And more books. Always more books.

I want our daughter's RH to be less painful
I want my wife's knee to stop hurting
I want our son's shoulder surgery to be successful
I want our granddaughter to have a wonderful life

I want my mother to get out of the hospital before Christmas.

I want to find a job closer to home, and part-time.

I want a publisher to like my MG novel enough to publish it.

I want my son to succeed in math class.

I want my daughter to stop being distracted by the boys.

yeah, I'll take that lil' ol' thingy called world peace and goodwill to all, too!

I want a hipopot hippopotim hippopotomu I want another cat.

I want to wish everyone here happiness and health.

I want all AW writers to rise to my continuously nagging challenge and finish their projects.

I want Mac to know how important AW is to us all.

And I want a new workout shirt.

Don't drop subtle hints like that to the man in your life. My wife said she wanted something that went from zero to 200 in under 5 seconds - so I bought her a bathroom scale. (sorry, old joke)

I'd like to have a day long eating fest with my parents (deceased) and my six siblings.

I'd like to tell my mother I'm sorry. She died ten months after breaking her hip, but I forced her to get on the treadmill every day. I forced her to lift her weights. I forced her to do her stretching exercises. I should have known, when she couldn't name her seven children, that something was wrong, but I ignored the signs. After each setback, I forced her to exercise. I'd like to tell my mother that I'm sorry for not making her final months more comfortable, for not pampering her the way she pampered me when I was sick. I'd like to tell my mother that I'm sorry for the times I lost my patience with her. And I'd like to hear her say, "Timothy Paul, come here and give your mother a hug."
