Ok here it is...

Please vote on the title that you'd like to read in January.

Note: these titles were selected for the book reading people of AW by the book reading people of AW..... ;) I didn't just pull them out of a hat.

Sorry, there will be no "I Voted" stickers handed out. Maybe next time.

And why isn't a Thousand Splendid Suns on the list??? After all, it was mentioned in the original thread, and it's by a man! I call foul!

You know, I don't know. I'm not sure why....but we'll throw it in for February.

Because I had to choose ONE from my many recommendations. Boo hoo. Next month, that's my pick.

I came here to vote. Sorry, I got distracted by life and stuff the past week. But the poll is closed!

I'd like to vote for Saving Fish for Drowning by Amy Tan please.

I see it won't make much difference in the results, but my voice must be heard!

And so it is Time Travelers Wife.....go fetch your copy. And then....read it. We'll discuss the 3rd week of Jan? This will give you time to finish what ever you're currently reading, and then 3 weeks to get the book read....any complaints?

We'll have open discussion for a few days, suggest Feb titles, then vote for Feb. Hopefully we'll have the voting polls for Feb closed in time to get hands on the chosen title and begin reading by the 2nd week of Feb.

Thoughts?

That, or we could always start voting in the first or second week of January so we can have our hands on that book by the beginning of February. That would probably work better.

Do you think we should automatically include the "runner up" in the following months voting?

If so, for February we will have Water For Elephants in the polls...along with Thousand Splendid Suns (as promised).

Keep the titles coming, there is no harm in a continuous flow of suggested titles in the meantime.

Well, somehow I totally missed this thread. Sorry, gang!

I would have voted for Water for Elephants, so it looks like it wouldn't have won. I'll try to dig up my copy of Time Traveler's Wife. :D
