I dunno. That pic that Perks posted awhile back, not the one in this thread--the kid has a knowing smile that radiates pure evil. Yet it's adorable at the same time.

I'm fairly certain she knows something we don't. She scares me.
We've never been able to figure out that smile. It either means "I love you and I'm vaguely amused to be here" or "I wish you would all die so I could have your stuff."

I think this is the pic you're speaking of:

I think she's thinking, "Maybe one day I'll let you in on the secret but, until then, I'm going to enjoy keeping it my secret."

Star to the right and straight on till morning.
Lol! Don't think I haven't thought of that. I'm on the lookout with mild hopes.
I have to say, I've loved every stage of my children's growth. They are so amazing. Have lots of hope, I adore my kids at any age and find my 17 year old son, (youngest) to be so gifted, talented, funny and generous that I'm scared when he leaves home, I won't be able to handle it. He's my best friend.

That just triggered a memory. I was on a road trip once, and I pressed the capacity of both my gas tank (to the low side) and my bladder (to the full side). The latter seriously to the point of pain. When I finally found a gas station, the bathroom had a plugged-to-overflowing wall fixture and a stall that was occupied by someone who was evidently giving birth to a whale flop. I was in such agony I had to use the sink (Yes, I scrubbed it after). And with the mirror in front of me, I saw the same exact expression as in the picture above. I'm not saying hers had anything to do with bodily functions, but it could have something to do with an equally pleasurable mental event (or thought).

She really is pretty.

Or maybe...maybe she looks evil, and that's why I like her.

Yes, I approve of this devilspawn, Perks. You may keep her.

She sounds like she might come from the same planet I do - whichever one it is.

Sounds like you have an INFP on your hands...

She's adorable, Perks. She sounds exactly like the daughter I always imagined I'd have ('normal' like me and all those other spacey INFPs). Instead, I got an extremely outgoing, here-in-the-now, strong-minded, goal-oriented redhead. Who'd a thunk? ;) She brings my spaceship home...

I tell you, you almost can't get a nicer baby than her:

-didn't try to kill me during labor and delivery (I didn't even yell and I had no drugs)

-slept in her own bed from the first night

-just called, "Hey!" instead of crying, even as a newborn

-oddly few soiled diapers

-only ever thrown up inconveniently once

-only ever woken me up once with complaints of a nightmare

-smiles almost always

-eats sushi and Indian food

-likes scary movies

-entertains herself beautifully

-very affectionate

-exercises effective puppy dog eyes without abusing the privilege

Honestly, my kids are so nice, I should be struck by lightning if I complain. Very pleasant little monsters - and I don't even like children.

this just makes her come across as even more of an evil genius.

and then this:

and im actually very scared right now.

Lol! She totally could be Stewie. She's the same kid who came to tell me that Harriette (one of their pet mice) looked - "a little bit wrong."

Harriette had, in fact, been relieved of her hair, skin, muscle, eyes, and ears from nose to shoulder, picked clean(ish) piranha-style by her cagemate, Gussie.

with a shot of turquoise for good measure.

We had her antennae cropped, but now I'm thinking we might shouldn't have.

shame, shame, perks. my girlfriend had her 'Spock' ears bobbed. what a let down that was.

Mystics are very powerful in their ability to remember as every other baby practices forgetting.
Sometimes my brother is wise beyond measure.
