[Contest] World's Best Story / Book Idol Canada

Does anyone know anything about the Book Idol contest in Canada: http://www.bookidol.ca/

The guy running it also has this site: http://www.vincentsalera.com/ and it seems to be associated with Monsoon Books, here: http://www.monsoonbooks.ca/

Well, other than that the contest deadline has passed, I'd say it has all the looks of a publisher that wants to get a list of potential customers so they can do a pitch for self-publishing.
