I once spent a summer on a houseboat in Amsterdam. The Van Gogh museum is wonderful; hope you've gotten a chance to see the Rijksmuseum and Rembrandt's House, too!

Wow, Barbara - I envy you having the chance to see the van Gogh exhibition. Last time I was in Amsterdam there was an absolutely humungous queue and we couldn't face it because it would have taken all the time we had just to stand in line. And what with one thing and another we haven't made it back there yet, although we live relatively close.
