I didn't wait on the big breakfast today. Just grabbed a tomato from the garden and ate it with a piece of potato bread toast. :)

My tomatoes are nearly finished. My watermelons are doing well though.

And, no, there is no hidden sexual innuendo in either of those sentences. Preverts.

I got my tomatoes in late because it was such a wet spring. I've only gotten about a dozen tomatoes so far and have about 20 more on the vines.

I didn't even get the rest of the garden in. Too wet to till and then too late.
I'm lucky to have gotten tomatoes at all.

I need a snack! No poison this time, RT!

Haggis? I'll take some vanilla bean ice cream :)

Sorry, sweetie. I got lazy with the second bean, so now it's reviving my vanilla extract bottle. Killed the last of my vodka with that too. Another two weeks or so and it's good to go.

Of course, I can always buy more. :D

We really ought to come up with a TTSDBNT recipe.

Anyone?

eta: you all should know that the little cray that attacked the groundhog a few weeks ago went after a turkey yesterday.

"What, not dead yet?"

- Hmm. Shouldn't this be over in period drama?

Hunter-Gatherer or Psychopath?
Time will tell.

 it's true.

although, the groundhog warnings have worked. all the little crays are now terrified of them.

i have to admit that the running after the turkey was a good idea even though he didn't get within 50 yards of the thing.

my husband keeps saying he's going to get some chickens. "I'll tell the kids that I'll pay them $5 for every time they catch one. they'll never catch one, I'll never have to pay, but they will run out all kinds of energy and sleep great."

I know, a nice light breakfast will perk everyone up!

I left off the black pudding, since it tends to make americans wrinkle their nose.

Put back the black pudding, add white pudding, get rid of the beans and fried tomatoes and we're on to something.

Oh. And I want some oat cakes and fruit pudding too.

Plan on making a venison pie for lunch.
