I was searching books online, noted a rather unattractive cover and high price ($22 for 175 pages), and got curious about the publisher.
From the look of the website, I guessed they were enthusiastic amateurs, and I know that poetry is one of the places where self-publishing can be the better option (though it seems that P.F.P. also publishes 'fictional novels'.)
They have a lulu shop, so I'm guessing they print through lulu, fair enough.
But I have to wonder about their 'publishing terms'.
Our charges providing your poem are sent to us ready in a word format is American $500 or £250 UK pound.
(if the poems are just sent loose needing to be arranged then depending on how much etra work is needed we will have to charge more for the service)
$300 or £100 when you send in the manuscript.... The rest paid when you OK the book..
and this suggested a lack of knowledge of commercial publishing:
We do all what any other publisher does for much less money...We can have you a book out within 4 weeks and you do not have to buy it in bulk to get discount prices. You get the discount whether you buy one book or 20.
Clueless rather than scammers, but surely better to go with lulu without the middleman?

Yeah, I'm going to trust my work to these bozos. "All your poem are belong to us"?

But you're right. For those prices, do it on Lulu yourself and you'll get much more for the money.

The typos! The color combos! A Disney Princess on LSD designed that site and those covers.

YAAARRRRRRGGGGH!!!

"You give have to give us P.F.P.Publishers by written agreement the publishing rights,"

Um--for HOW LONG? I don't have to give you nuttin', bubala, not with that pathetic sentence structure warning me clear of you.

Other publishers have a set period of time or circumstances for that kind of thing. The rights revert back to the writer when the time expires or the sales drop below a certain level. Sheesh, even PubliSHAMErica has a 7 year limit.

As it's a good chance the sales for these books is going to be pretty dismal I would suggest a time limit thing.

And spell-check! USE YOUR FRICKIN' SPELL-CHECK!!!

Poetry brought forward
with style
On many nights

Extremely

Trusted friendship

Remember they are
