Thought I'd create a new mind-massaging game of my own.
Take the last three words of the previous sentence(s) in that order and place it somewhere in your own sentence(s), however, they cannot become your own last three words. You must also take a word from the previous sentence(s) not in the last three words and use it in your own (not words like a, the, for, then, etc, try to use the most interesting word ). You must also try to shift the syntax/meaning of the previous sentence(s) and create an entirely new one.
For example,
1.The girl sighed, stared out the window, and hoped for a better life.
2. "What do you wish for?" the old woman asked, her real eye ablaze, a window into her soul. "A better life? A new car? Be careful what you wish for!"
And so on, the next person having to use you wish for and another wide (eg, ablaze) in their own sentence(s).
I appreciate these little games, they always stir the creative juices, and I was willing to see what imagination could be revealed under these constraints.
Starting sentence: Harmony sung on the warm air, the little girl handing her mother the pegs as she hung the washing out to dry.
