Just finished Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr. Ending felt a bit rushed but was impressed with her world building. Can definitely see why she got a blurb from Charles De Lint.

Just started Raven's Gate by Anthony Horowitz. Since I'm trying to unseat the guy as the King of YA for Boys... I might as well learn my competition.

Sun Tzu said "If you know yourself and your enemy, then the battle is already won."

I'm currently reading Go Ask Alice, I'll probably finish it soon and then start Wicked Lovely.

Finished Bloodline Rising, which had a great beginning but the plot kind of falls away half way through and it finishes with too many loose-ends (like not saying which characters survived a pitched battle). Even for the middle book in a trilogy, I find that irritating.

Am currently reading The Black Book of Secrets by F. E. Hinton, which is fluffy but entertaining and perfect for the bus ride into work.

Girls That Growl turned out heads and tails better than Boys That Bite so I was happy about that. Now I'm moving on to Stake That! which is the book in the series I've been jonsing to get to.

Finished Wicked Lovely. Taking a break before reading the next one in the series. Now, reading Speak. It's short, so should be done quick.

Finished EVERMORE Saturday and WICKED LOVELY yesterday... Once I finish VALIANT, I'm starting the LUXE series. Anybody read those? I heard they were good.

Finished 'Queen of Babble Gets Hitched' by Meg Cabot on Saturday (light reading, I know, but I love it!) and am now in the middle of 'Extras' by Scott Westerfield. I've bought the first book in the Luxe series, Rebecca - planning on starting that one next! I thought they looked good...

Now you see it... by Vivian Vande Velde, because I've been reading just about anything by her, lately; and The Duplicate by William Sleater. I usually don't like Science Fiction, but Sleater's books have a satisfyingly horrific atmosphere to them.

I've just finished The Black Book of Secrets by F. E. Hinton, which is probably more a tween novel than a YA, but still thoroughly enjoyable, not least because of the macabre humour running through it.

Have started Hexwood by Diana Wynne Jones, which is another tween novel but which I'm enjoying. I love the fact that she drops you into her world and then explains it slowly, rather than spending ages on set-up.

The Devouring. It's OK. It's horror and seems pretty standard. Nothing new here(so far)

The chosen one I finished a few weeks ago and that one rocked!

Okay, it's more more MG than YA, but there's no thread for MG reading
