First of all, that was awesome.

Why do you drive on the parkway but park in your driveway?
Things that don't make sense frustrate me. :(

And I'm oddly reminded of a segment Adam Carolla used to do (maybe still does) about words that sound better than they are.

(hang on, this relates back to pies :D)

Like: Pie chart.

Oh--I just found a #soundsbetterthanitis on Twitter. :tongue I'm gonna follow it for a bit, I bet there are some real gems.

*prepares to be equally frustrated and entertained at the same time*

If you're going to follow something on the Twitterverse, for sheer giggles today I recommend the Harry Potter boobs thing.

Juvenile, sure, but amusing.

:D

My recommendation for the day is Gilbert Gottfried reading excerpts from 50 shades of Gray. Not safe for work, kids, etc!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYiE2V4IUSI

It's been on my Twitter feed and FB since last night - soooooo funny, and watch for the emphasis on that word. I've said before how much I like Gottfried (not as much as Bill Hicks, or the Phillips guy who climbed on stools back in the nineties, but he's up there...) and that he manages to keep surprising me is nothing short of astounding.

So, what I learned today...

No matter how chilled out I try to stay, and irrespective of where we go, I can't have a day out with Zoe without ending the day feeling shattered and with a headache. I really did try chilling out (big idea of going to the park and letting her run free, whilst thinking on edits to distract myself from her throwing herself about, is a failure). One of these days we are going to have a day that doesn't end with her trying to give me a massive coronary...

In other news, I came away from the day with a stack of anime, so... YAY. :D

I'm rewarding myself for not letting her break any bones on my watch.

My niece. I'm not allowed to simply leave her in the park when she isn't doing what I tell her, so I was kinda stuck with her all day... *curses bad luck*

he's not going to tell us how old she is - he's probably hoisted her up a tree by now to keep her feet off the ground and keep her out of trouble
