Hi everyone,
This is a bit daunting for me, but I'm hopeful.
My deal is basically this: I'm a journalist by training, currently a magazine editor. I always wanted to write fiction, but sort of forgot about it/put it by the wayside during college. I wrote an article about the publishing industry for a class one time, and my professor asked me why I wasn't writing books. I said I didn't know, and he told me I still "had the pixie dust," whatever that means.
I'm doing NaNoWriMo right now, but I'm cheating a little bit as I already had about 10,000 words before I started. I want to do it right: just use NaNo as a way to extract the draft however possible, revise it myself, get some beta readers here perhaps, and then, maybe, if it's good enough, send some queries.
