I recently was told my family (from my mothers father to great great relatives) were in a book and my family history was written by a lady using IUniverse. My mother bought both of us copies and now I've learned all kinds of weird stuff I didn't know, they even have a website where I can communicate with other relatives. Has anyone ever bought a book about their family? Did you like what you read or did it bother you that some relatives were (a nice way to put this..) bad?

Hi SW;
I worked for a long time on our genealogy. Got as far back as 1688. There were some real characters there. Not a bunch of famous folk, rather murderers, moonshiners, etc. Interesting.

Murderers and moonshiners I got, some go beyond that when they live in small areas in the mountains and cannot travel to new towns. This lady traced our roots back as far as the late 1700's England and Wales. Some relatives traveled with William Penn and others admired and loved Ben Franklin so much they named a child after him in each generation.
