Cute, huh? I'm so excited about this book. :) The publisher is trying to sell it through hair salons as well as bookstores. I love the idea!

The cover is so adorable! Excellent job. I see I have one more book to buy when it comes out. That one, of course, will be for my granddaughter, so I'll just have to buy it directly from you with an autograph. If that's plausible. She'd love it.

Julie, the publisher is Moo Press, a small publisher in NY. It's the children's books imprint of Keene Publishing. They're new-ish and a lot of fun to work with. Monica Kendall, my illustrator, is the greatest. Her site is www.calabashanimation.com (http://www.calabashanimation.com). This is her first children's book! She's mostly done animations for commercials before this.

Moo's slate is full for 2006, but they have a few slots open for 2007. Like I said, small and new-ish, so the advances are low, but check them out if you're okay with that. :) www.moopress.com

Very cute! I love Hattie's long hair! I hope she doesn't get it cut too short! (of course, I'm biased- I have long hair!) Marketing it to hair salons is an excellent idea! Good luck!

Jenna, I've been out of town so I just now saw this. Your book looks so cute! What a great illustrator you got. Congratulations, I can't wait to get a copy of the book for my collection!

Jenna, The cover art is adorable. My mother-in-law just happens to have blonde hair and is a cosmetologist. I think it would be a great gift. So, when can we mere mortals buy one?

Absolutely adorable!!!

I must share that several weeks ago my husband and I stopped by our local Borders bookstore, and I was searching their computer to see if they had your Freelancing book. Well, the title for Hattie came up, with a future release date. I was so excited for you, Jenna! :)
