I should be writing my other book since I'm about halfway through and I need to finish a project sometime. However, I am having trouble with drug addicts, drug use, drug names and just drugs in general. (At this point if anyone ever lets me see a drug again I'll chase them around the room with a broom to punish them for doing something so un-write-able.)

Instead I'm thinking about a new idea and I need help to come up with some weird powers for my characters to have. My MC is a shape shifter with multiple personality disorder. I need something equally weird.

Good luck and HELP!

Maybe her different personalities can each have different powers. Like, one of her personalities can read minds but the other personalities not only can't read minds, they're terrible at reading normal interpersonal cues. Maybe another personality is telekinetic.

Some other possible powers:
Healing (maybe healing animals, given the shapeshifter aspect)
Teleportation (but never knows which personality will arrive at the destination)
Ability to control machinery and electronics, or stop them from working
Invisibility

If you're looking for individual, specific powers, then I'd suggest glancing through wikipedia entries on different comic book characters (specifically the X-Men). They can give you ideas, at least, for different things outside the 'norm.'

A melter.

She physically melts when she's feeling low and is in constant danger of being absorbed by cushioned furniture and fluffy carpets. She is also in danger of absorbing things from the environments she melts in.

X-men is good, also the show Heroes (which is kinda the same).

Elements are good. Not just fire, water, air, and earth. Control over gravitational or magnetic forces (can push the person away, make them get stuck, etc.), thunder/electricity, and so on.

Can control animals or plants.

Emotional reading or control.

I was thinking about Heroes but for some reason forgot about X-men. Bad Alainn. *hits self over head*

i frankly like a person who can control plants, and when they become infuriated, their body is just kind of a tangle of vines and nasty stuff, with no set shape
