Oh, how I love pointless chavs not wanting to work. (And I can say that because I live in this shit hole).

Better watch out for the Poles, seun. We work hard.
:)

I liked orys' letter - here's part:

"... I am polish but I am fully agree with you. As a guest in your country i am not in position to rise my opinion about your politics, but I am really shocked - you are far too good for all this people, who are coming here and milking your social system.

But: as I was reading somewhere about 30% of british people are claiming benefits and if you compare it to 2% of polish people there who are claiming benefits its look, that when we look at that as for national budget case, we are only profit for your economy, as average Pole is working here for the same money, but claiming less benefits. ...

<snipped>

Apart of everything: I am here almost two years. I worked hard and was paying taxes. Everything what I achieved, i got from my own work. I am not live with other 10 east-european people - I am renting my own flat. I have british car with driving wheel on the right side here, it's insured, MOT'ed and taxed. I have scottish friends, english friends, irish friends, hungarian friends and polish friends, and everyone are working hard.

black douglas had an interesting point:

"While I am on the subject, about the people who complain about British tradesman being too expensive. Why do you think that is?

Tradesman are so hard to come by because companies and the government are unwilling to invest in apprenticeships to train people in. This has been going on for decades. With the sparsity of skilled tradesman no wonder it is expensive to employ their skills?"

The same could be said here. Not too many apprenticeships and Vocational/Technical classes in high schools are being cut (some of them weren't "all that" to begin with. :( )

Good luck.

This made me laugh:

Whole towns are being taken over. I don't feel safe walking in my local town because white people are out numbered by far.

The funniest part of the video were the chavs who said immigrants were stealing their jobs - the jobs they didn't want.

I'd like to smack that smart arse presenter. Offering a day's picking fruit or whatever he says in his exchange with the jobless neds (sorry seun, chavs to you) doesn't take into account the bureaucratic hassle of signing off for a day then signing back on again -- the risk of losing benefit money that's needed to pay rent and feed family would have made me say no too. And then I'd have smacked the smart arse presenter.

Sorry, D, but something tells me the blokes the reporter spoke to didn't pass on his offer because of your reasons. Picking butternut squash during the day would get in the way of drinking Stella and watching Trisha.

I don't know why, but this made me laugh out loud:

It should make for good 'shouting at the TV' viewing if nothing else.

"The Poles Are Coming!" is on the BBC's iPlayer site for the next 6 days:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

UK access only, I think. Broadband required.

It was interesting (and I cheered when I saw my local in a shot) although the presenter was a smug git.
