Would you write Sarina a birthday poem?

It's Sarina's first birthday today!

Considering that you fine folks are sort of her cyber-aunts and uncles, I thought I'd ask a favor. I'm finishing up her "Baby's First Year" time capsule, and I'm going to print out that gigantic thread where everybody was waiting for her to be born (awesome thread... sorry again that I kept you hanging), and to finish it off, I'd like to end it with birthday messages.

So! My request is this: would you write my little darling a birthday poem that I can include in her time capsule?

S is for a sweetheart, one whom we all love;
A is for an angel, sent from heaven above.
R is for the ray of hope you bring to momma's eye;
I is for your impish grin, when eating chocolate pie.
N is for that word you say, when wanting your own way;
A is for AWers shouting, "Happy Birthday!"

A Few Thoughts On The Occasion Of Sarina's 1st Birthday

It hasn't been so long since you discovered this world-
Mommy's little angel-
Daddy's little girl.

Sarina has her mommy's nose
and she won't give it back
She has her daddy's dimples
and hid them in a sack.

She takes the best and stores them
and she won't tell them where
her folks will always wonder
as she whispers to the air.

Sarina holds all the best
and she holds them dear
she treasures them within herself
and shows them at one year.

Sparrow fly, we wish you wind,
Sunshine hot upon your wing
Songs of starlight, tiny wren,
Life-exuberant cause to sing

Fierceness, kestrel, unabating,
Courage take you higher still,
Little owlet, life awaiting
Joy and sorrow borne on will

Hillside grasses wet with dew, until
Morning lark song welcomes new
Summer sounds of blackbird trill
Wide world waiting, all for you

We'll catch breath in awe, small bird, such height -
But pray wishes all the same for flight.
