WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton has replaced campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle, naming longtime aide Maggie Williams to the top job.
Solis Doyle announced the shift in an e-mail to the staff on Sunday.
“I have been proud to manage this campaign and prouder still to call Hillary my friend for more than 16 years,” Solis Doyle wrote. “Maggie is a remarkable person and I am confident that she will do a fabulous job.”

I just love it. She'll probably still win, but just the fact that they're losing their minds over there in Clintonland makes me smile.

"It's a fairytale this Obama!!!! What's wrong with you people!!? Hil and Bill back in the saddle!!!! Come on!!!"

Is that the one leaving or arriving?

I hope she's the one arriving. She's perky, like the gal at the Avis counter.

Didn't they announce that this change would be happening, several months ago?

Question: Is HillaryWorld like WestWorld? I'm thinkig this is a good idea for a theme park, if it hasn't already been done. Imagine, you can play any character you want in the saga.

I guess Yul Brynner would play James Carville, go crazy(er), then shoot everyone in sight.

I can't find anything.

I could swear that, right after the big loss in Iowa, they announced that there would a new campaign manager coming on in February.

Not that the old one was being fired or anything, but ...

It was almost like they couldn't afford the one they really wanted until a certain point.

Or, I could be completely dreaming.

Maybe Bird of Prey knows...

Robs link only had this: Williams has played a more active role after Iowa loss.

maybe you're thinking of this, back in january?

Maggie Williams, Clinton’s former chief of staff when she was First Lady and a long time Clinton confidante, will be taking the reins at the campaign and be in charge of day to day operations.

...

It is unclear who, if anyone, will be departing the Clinton campaign’s top ranks as Williams arrives. In recent days, since the stinging loss in the Iowa Caucus, there have been rumors that Patti Solis Doyle, campaign manager, and Mark Penn, campaign pollster, might be departing.

Actually, I thought I heard that, as well. I was surprised when I googled and found the link that I did. But hey, I'm gettin old.

ETA: Aha! William found a better link! I knew I wasn't senile...
