I'm sure it's been asked a million times, and I'mma make it a million and one now. I'm new to writing screenplays but me and a friend have came up with (what I think, but then again, who doesn't?) a really great script for a horror spoof that actually was created from my list of horrible horror movie cliches. (Check the horror forum if you're interested in seeing that.) It has a sense of humor that is very I feel would be comparable to Family Guy writer Seth Macfarlane.
My question is, where the hell do I start to show producers my script?
Also, I know I need a copyright, will a poorman's copyright suffice for something like this? (For those who don't know what that is, that's when you mail the original copy of your story script or whatever to yourself and it'll get dated by the post office. If anyone tries to infringe your idea your able to prove that your the original creator by handing the judge your unopened, dated envelope.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Chris
