Very recently, I read a post which gave a link to an (agent's?) blog in which the blogger discussed receiving a message asking if he could sell ideas, rather than fully-written work. I'm pretty sure that the idea was that a ghost-writer could then be found to write them up, but could very well be wrong.
I thought I'd bookmarked the blog, but can't find it now, and can't find my way back to the original post.
I realise there's not much to go on here, but if anyone can direct me to the original thread I'd be very grateful.
Thank you!
(And sorry for being so very dim.)

I don't remember it, I don't keep up with agents and such that much (someone please slap me and make me write something so I'll have something to submit...). You have over 500 posts which is probably too many to reasonably look through, but I did this google search which narrows it down a little bit:
Results 1 - 10 of about 173 from absolutewrite.com for "Old Hack" blog agent
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Old+Hack%22+blog+agent+site%3Aabsolute write.com
Hope this helps...

Thank you, both, for trying. Sadly, we've not got there yet... I didn't contribute to the thread, I just read it. So neither of those two help.
I have GOT to learn to print things out when I need to. I mean, really. I'm meant to be a WRITER, for god's sake.

Do you remember if that stuff was discussed in the post here, or if it was just on the blog? 'Cause that would help me figure out what terms to search for.

i really do think the thread i provided is it. the first post on that thread directs us to: http://leegoldberg.typepad.com/a_writers_life/2007/10/heaps-of-ideas.html where the agent writes: Unfortunately, there really isn't a place for people with ideas but no ability to execute them. Publishers and studios don't buy ideas, they buy the execution of the idea by authors and screenwriters.

Hello, Sarina. Say hi to your mum from me, won't you? You're a gorgeous thing. And far too OLD to be the Board Baby, who was surely only born a week or two ago.
(Oh, Jenna. There you are. How are things?)
(There was a discussion here in which ghost writing might have been mentioned, and someone referred to a blog post in which an agent--I think--talked about having been approached by a new writer who wanted to sell him [I think] ideas rather than a finished piece.)
(I think.)
(I lurk mostly around Novels, Round Table, and Bewares, with occasional detours into Office Party, and have tried searching in those locations but to no avail. I am feeling so very, very Useless at the moment, and am ridiculously grateful for everyone's contribution.)

Sorry, escritoria, we cross-posted. I'll go check again, and then have to eat, and will no doubt be back very soon to eat humble pie, aimed in your direction. Thank you.

There are a couple of threads in Novels about Nathan Bransford. At least one of them mentions his blog.

Escritora. I've had a look at the link you gave to Lee Goldberg's site and that is, indeed the one. Sorry, I couldn't find it in the link you gave in your original post, and you are very kind to spoon-feed me in this way.
Thank you.
