I don't need an excuse...

I can't live without it. No, don't laugh.

*snort*

Fine laugh then.

But I am telling you, I'd die without it. :D

1. Because it's there.
2. If I don't eat it someone else will.
3. My husband's on a diet so I need to save him from it.
4. My kids eat enough sugar.

oh..and it doesn't give me cancer like ciggies might...so I'd rather eat chocolate and let the nicotine cravings fade into the distant past. :D

Kim (yeah not good at this smoking thingy)

I blame someone for this and he knows who he is...and it's not you SK :)

Chocolate keeps me regular.

If by regular, you meant normal...ding! Sorry. You lose. Wrong. Negative. Nope.

If you meant the other...well, let's not even go there.

Well I've noticed, I only feel like a tiny bit of chocolate, when I need a pick me up. I don't follow the feeling anymore, so I don't eat it. :)

Xocotatl*

Stripped to bare
your oppressive
levy taxes me
yet I peek,
no matter I
go blind

My fingers, conched
feel for your smoothness,
tempered to my
caress you unfold,
melt at the temperature
of my body

And as you dissolve
your naked beauty
streams on my desire.
I want your pleasure
to ever last, oh
my lady, Godiva

*(For you chocolate lovers) Aztec word for chocolate (thought to be the origin of the word "chocolate") - means bitter water since the cocoa is inherently bitter. Also, conching and tempering (second stanza) are processes in making chocolate, and one of its pleasing properties is it melts at or just below human body temperature. the taxation part is the reason Lady Godiva did her naked horse ride - she did it to protest her husband's oppressive taxes on the citizens of Coventry (and in a deal to get him to cut the taxes back). The "go blind" part comes from the Lady Godiva story--one man named Tom peeked at her and went blind (believed to be the origin of the label "peeping Tom."

Boyfriends will leave you but chocolate never will. :) I don't know about boyfriends covered in chocolate though.

Phooey on excuses. If there's chocolate in front of me, I'm eating it. Try to stop me, and you may pull back a bloody stump.

Okay, I lie. PMS is my main excuse for buying/eating chocolate, since that's the only time I really crave the stuff.

I only eat no-calorie chocolate. I enjoy telling myself that all chocolate is no-calorie chocolate. And I actually believe myself.

*Cue Violins now*

I am allergic to chocolate... or atleast something they commonly use with making milk chocolate... Palm Oil. It has taken me YEARS to figure that out. I LOVE CHOCOLATE and was determined to keep eating it. I noticed over the years that sometimes I would have a skin reaction to eating chocolate and sometimes not. What I have found out is that I can eat Dark Chocolate all I want without the reaction... difference is Palm oil isn't normally used as an ingredient! Voila... now I eat dark chocolate whenever possible!

'Cuz every season is open season for chocolate.

I do notice my cravings (whew! just caught myself typing crazings...) increase once a month, but I'll take chocolate any time and any way I can get it.

Mmmm. Mocha.

Why eat chocolate:

As the great philosophers SHOULD have said:
I exist, therefore I eat chocolate.

It makes a lousy building material.

The universal reason for chocolate is to raise endorphins with a natural product.

I'm going through the change and I will severely dismember anyone who tries to stop me.
Pick one ;)
