So we green for go or what? Y/N?

Anyone heading this up?

What are the ground rules?

1) Write a new script in the month of Nov. - 90 -120 pages
2) It is through AW not Nano - Right?
3) How to check our scripts?
4) Are we going to have the option to post in SYW?

I have a couple of projects so i MIGHT NOT be able to do this but i do have a script in mind. It would be good to knock out a 1st draft. We shall see.

Yes to everything, I'll be posting pages in SYW Screenwriting and maybe posting daily (or close to daily) updates here.

NaNoWriMo is for novels so going there could get a tad confuzin'.

I tremble in anticipation. I've got characters and a scenario in mind. Just waiting impatiently for 00:01 on the 1st.

The challenge is on! 30 days to go -- all I need is a steady 3 pages per day, rising to 5 pages on weekends. Hah, I have all the time in the world! Famous last words.

I started writing at 00:01 last night (I'm in the UK, it's 6:30am on Nov 1 here) and woke up a couple of hours later, cold and confused. I have what looks like 5 pages of gobbledegook written by a monkey with anger management issues. Not exactly a flying start but maybe I'll salvage something.

Soon as I hit 10 pages I'll take a moment to revise (with a blowtorch) and post in SYW Screenwriting.

Good luck to whoever else decides to participate.

Good luck to everyone who will be participating!

I still haven't decided whether I'll be participating or not, but I'll definitely be there in spirit. (I have a 60 minute script due in three weeks or so, and it just so happens that I'll be writing the FADE IN later today, so it's a similar type of challenge I'm facing.)

I have some two-sentence ideas floating around that I've been meaning to work on "some day," so if I feel up to it I may start a script on the side that does fit the parameters of this challenge - kind of as a chill out tool - and stay in the groove during the last week of the month, and then see how far I get.
Chances are, I won't get very far though. But I'll see.

Happy writing!

Yep, it sounds as if you have your own challenge to beat this month, good luck with that!

I changed my mind at the last minute about the script idea I want to use, so I'm trying to run through a rough outline today and hope to at least write my first few pages tonight so I don't get behind.

I have a feeling this whole draft will look scary. :Wha:

Good luck all.

For what it's worth I'm @ 50-ish pages, Act I almost works (first 10 posted in SYW), Act IIa is causing me much anguish (no surprise there). Onward!

I know it's a late start but I'll give it a go.

November is almost over and I failed miserably.
Guess, I have to do my own NaScriMo some other month ;-)

I hope the rest of you got your first draughts finished and can soon start with the rewriting process.
But hey, November's not over yet, who knows what's gonna happen in these two days. :)

Don't feel bad, DayDreamer, I failed at this one, too. I lost interest in the first script idea I was going to do, so I started working with a new idea and it has become quite complex (lots of research). On top of that, my laptop died and took all of my files with it, so I've had to start from scratch.

Anywho, maybe some other month.

I didn't even get up to bat!

I spend my free time packing the house up so we can move back to the UK.

Dpat and any one else hoping you did great in wacking out that 1st draft.
