This question is a little embarrassing, as I want to keep my erotic writing separate from my other freelance writing--but I rely on AW for so much, I feel like I have to post here and ask.
I recently found some jobs listed for erotic blogs that caught my attention, and also writing reviews for an adult website.
I have tons of experience and clips freelancing and editing, but nothing in this genre, except for some advice columns on a website that was later purchased by Playboy. (This was about 7 years ago). I am using the same pen name I used there.
Question--should I use my existing freelance writing/editing resume (taking out references to religious/inspirational magazines) and can I send mainstream clips if that is all I have?
My only experience in erotica is two stories on Literotica. Is this even worth mentioning since you have to be practically illiterate to have a story rejected there? (My apologies in advance to anyone who may have had a story rejected by them!)
I'm interested in writing non-fiction about sex rather than erotic fiction....but I want to keep both my professional personalities separate. I don't know if I should post this in the Freelance writing forum, instead.
Can I get away with using the same resume until I have built up credentials in this field? If not, what should I emphasize on my resume--all I have going for me is experience as an editor and freelancer.
