Tonight on Spike TV.

Anyone else planning on watching?

I might just watch to see Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie.

I'm the only one?

I guess I won't have to make as much popcorn.

No one is interested in a celebration of the best in sci-fi and horror?

I must live on a deserted island or something. I'd honestly never heard of it before.

In case anyone else is as out of it as I am, here's a link. (http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/prnewswire/NYSA00220102007-1.htm)

I've heard of the awards, Haggis, but Rob Zombie sucks, IMHO! I may have to check it out; as long as he doesn't win anything...

I love Rob Zombie. As a musician, I think he's one of the best in that genre of music. His movies, I see improvement with each.

What I like most about him is his knowledge of classic horror films.

Well Shadow, Rob has been around for quite some time, but I just don't like him as a musician or a movie maker. I have nothing against him. I listen to all kinds of music. I did like one of his songs though, "Dragula," but that's about it. We'll agree to disagree. :Hug2:

I never said I agree to disagree.

You're wrong.

I love Rob Zombie's music ! Granted, he's not too pretty to look at when he's in concert, but I could listen to him for hours. Especially on a long drive, although it's hard to change lanes while seriously head-bopping :D

Zombie or not, I'm going to try and catch some of this. The Emmys and Oscars just don't do it for me anymore. Besides, there's probably going to be plenty of blood-soaked scenes and screams oh plenty!

It was weird hearing Lee Adama (Jamie Bamber) speak. I didn't realize he had a British accent in real life. Reminds me of when the guy from House speaks with his native accent. Too weird.

I had the same reaction with the guy from Dresden Files. And the guy in Torchwood, when he didn't have an accent!

I caught a rerun of Scream 2007 on the Scream station the other night but the last twenty, twenty-five minutes of the show were dropped fer some reason. >.< I thought the award show was pretty darn nifty. Always good to see Kevin Smith, Bruce Campbell and Neil Gaiman. I thought the award categories were a little off the wall. Best mutilation, heh. And there were like three different hottest girl awards. And what the bloody hell was Quentin Tarantino on? ^_^

Tarantino is just a freak. I think he looked bloated, too. Probably with self-importance.

But yeah, I don't know why these "people's awards" shows have to have such goofy categories. What's wrong with best picture, best actor, best effects, best whatever? I mean, isn't it enough that the show is dedicated to movies that aren't normally even considered by the Academy? Do they have to make the whole thing low-brow, white trashy?
