This 'topic' was brought up in another 'politics & current events' thread and while this 'could' be better suited in the 'office party' section it does involve politics, SO, if a mod would rather move it elsewhere, fine...

Anyway - long story short...

Could "Mickey Mouse" beat the Republican and/or Democratic candidates for president?

(I'm setting up a relatively generic poll because frankly there's too many candidates to list all of them).

Feel free to write in your specific candidate if you like....

This is (hopefully) a 'fun' political thread.

I think Mickey might have a good chance. It's not even 2008 yet, and I'm already tired of hearing about most of the politicians on both sides.

This is prolly urban legend, but I've heard he gets quite a few write in votes during most election cycles.

I'm imagining Alvin and the Chipmunks playing at that Inaugural Ball.:D

I've heard the same. It would be interesting to find out what kinds of numbers he pulls in...

(and I wonder if he pulls from one side or the other...I mean, if he pulls from the Dems...could 'Mickey' have been the difference?)

I'm with Mickey for 2008, all the way! And yes, my immediate thought for VP was Goofy! Mickey and Goofy!? Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

I don't think Mickey would be that great with foreign policy. Other countries would feel as though they could step all over him. Also, because of the cultural differences, he might be percieved as a little squirrely.

Mickey waffles too much on the animal clothing issue. Sometimes just a shirt is okay. Sometimes just pants. You can't have it both ways.
