Oh, a book. I've heard of those.
Seriously, I'm not a big fan of Greenspan, so I doubt I'll read it--unless I see some blurbs about it from some of my favorite heavy-hitters.

I'm just interested in what he has to say about his term. From what I gather he puts some blame on the Bush administration for not stepping up to the plate in some areas.

I'm thinking of doing the same in my novel--seems to be a sure-fire road to publication.

Everyone's doing that, these days. It's fashionable.

Will it work for a mystery/crime novel?

Sure it will. I've got a horror short where GWB lives under the bed and eats little children.

My local paper had some excerpts. I expect it will be an interesting book.
He takes issue with the republican/conservative camp for not living up to their 'fiscal responsibility' plank. That's a primary plank in their platform, yet they have spent like crazy raising deficit and national debt numbers.
I gripe about the same thing, so I enjoy having a learned source to quote. The whole Keynesian 'cycles' model for spending is nuts.
He also criticizes the unchecked growing government, setting the blame on the conservatives as well. I go along with this as well.
Down with big government, up with state's rights.
But this was one tiny part of the book.
