I spent the last few months going through roughly 200k words of (mostly) old material, rewriting and fixing as I went along. Most of it is bad... and all of it needs more rewriting... but hey... it's 200,000 words of written stuff and I managed to wade through it all. That's a kind of accomplishment, right?
I've learned three things:
1) I suddenly realized just how I spent my youth.
2) 200,000 words are a lot more than it sounds.
3) Going through stuff you've written earlier in your life is tedious, embarrassing, and a lot more work than writing it in the first place.
Well, anyway. There's not really any point to this post, other than getting
stuff off my chest.
