If you like your moons up close:

And all went well except for a galactic cosmic ray hit (from the source):

All the data were successfully recorded on the spacecraft. Twenty-one minutes into the first post-flyby data downlink, the spacecraft went into a precautionary condition called safe mode. The cause has been determined to be a solid state power switch that was tripped due to a galactic cosmic ray hit.

We went 80 billion miles and only took a black and white camera?

That galactic cosmic ray hit was really the Iapetusans firing a laser, trying to repulse a UFO.

No doubt they'll be very relieved when it moves on.

Apparently they can take pictures in wavelengths

(as in "The images were taken at wavelengths of 1.3 microns shown in blue, 2 microns shown in green, and 5 microns shown in red." -- if you're used to thinking in Angstroms that would be 1300, 2000 and 5000, I think)

You can often get clearer information from black-and-white photography than you can from color. But they do gather visual data in several wavelengths, and process that info in a variety of ways, black-and-white reproduction being just one of those.
