After spending time in Europe and America, I think it's interesting that there are various similarities with immigration, acceptance, and assimilating foreign nationals into the mainstream.

In the past ten years, Ireland has experienced a greater rise in the percentage of immigrants than Britain experienced over the past half century.

In my two recent trips, I saw signs in many places that were looking for help but most said something like "must have work exerience in Ireland."

Ironic to an Irish-American. Essentially "non-Irish need not apply."
