I am a children's author with a great children's agent - she doesn't handle any adult books and I would really like to have an agent who handles only adult - just like she handles only childrens - and have two agents - her for childrens and another agent for the adult Christian genre. I really don't want her to think I'm unhappy with her - because I'm not. And I want to keep her as my children's agent forever and always! What do you guys think? I sent this early this morning - does this sound ok? Geeze - I'm having a freak out. =) Thanks for any help! Can anyone say panic attack?. . . . .Here's what I wrote to my agent.
Do you know anyone who handles only adult religious material - such as devotional books? I've gained a regular spot in several large Christian magazines and now CBN. I began thinking it might be the perfect time to put all my devotionals into a book. Now that I have you for my children's projects, I thought it would be neat to also have someone who does only adult projects. What do you think? Since up until now I've sold all on my own - I don't really know the ins and outs of the agent world.
