View Full Version : New To Publishing

06-02-2007, 07:38 AM

My name is Colleen, and I recently decided to give publishing my writing a try. I want to stick with articles for the moment since they tend to be shorter and much less involved, but I may transition to trying something more one of these times.

I have soooo many questions that I will post as I go along. If anyone has any advice for a newbie to this industry, don't hesitate to let me know.

Hey Colleen,

Hang around a bit, and get to know the forums. If you're interested in publishing articles, you might find the Freelance forum (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3) particularly helpful.

Im new here too - and the place seems to have a great collection of folks who are more than willing to help - if I can offer this assist - there's an online puiblication called www.americanchronicle.com (http://www.americanchronicle.com) it is a syndicated online paper throughout the USA west coast and they take contributions from freelance contributors, no payments, but it's a good way to get yourself referenced hope that helps - Good Luck R
