Okay, lets get short. Post your best, short poem (I'll leave the definition of short up to you.) In the vein (or is it vain, now, lol) of my "tongue (http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65070)" poems, the rules are simple. Describe a body part, any part, in the most poetic way possible...and in as few words as you can. (Dave's probably got a ton on the purple throbber) but have a go. Here's my fave short poem, which I've referenced often in the past as an example of showing over telling:
Artichoke
O heart, weighed down by so many wings.

and the purlple throbber's 'companion' ... (it's all limey's fault for bringing it up lol)
thorned lotus,
abysmal cave,
man's last
elusive
frontier
..tis what (approximately) an ol pal used to muse :D
...so now we covered the important parts lol... who's gonna do 'feet'?

down gentle slope
the braided silver
sparks his hope
that he may see
it to the end
as well as the breasts
it lays between.

Gland to see all the punnery.
Adipose to catch my breath on such a jiggly topic.
It's stupendulous.

I've flushed too man troilets,
nearly passed out from my stenchly odes
But iambic once again,
after all, trying still.

Lower back

back spreads to hips.
Oh, to touch it
with his fingers and lips
and would but for the scroll of ink;
a name colored orange, red, and pink.
another man's name on her tat
ain't no way he's touching that.
