As a member of AAR (All About Romance), I'm going to RWA National in July (in Dallas). (Yay!) And I'm also looking for someone who would be willing to share a room with me so that we can split the costs. Does anyone know how I can find someone? I will, of course, share the costs. :D (I'm not a member of RWA (yet), so I can't access the boards there. )

Anne, just post of photo with you wearing a revealing negligee and ask one of the mods to move this thread over to Office Party. You'll have members climbing over one another to join you, and I'll bet some will offer to pay for the whole affair. ;)

Well that's one way to do it.

Well, I've got a couple of suggestions:
RomanceDivas (http://www.romancedivas.com/divaforum) has a thread for people looking for roomies. You have to register, but it's free.
RWAOnline (http://www.rwaonlinechapter.org) chapter will be posting a bulletin board any day now that's pretty much the widest known on the web. I can PM you when it opens up, if you like.
I'll warn you that rooms at the main hotel are already gone. They filled up REALLY fast. However, I booked my room early and then decided not to stay at the main hotel (just couldn't justify $185 a night! ) So, I'm hanging my hat at the Quality Inn about two miles away on the frontage road to downtown. It's a nice industrial park and I can cab back and forth. Best of all, the room is $49 a night! Woo! Cie was going to stay with me in the double/double room, but had to cancel all her cons this year because of a new job (definitely worth it, though. It's a great job! :) ) Still, I need a roomie now, and still have to get rid of the room at the Hyatt. If you're interested in either one, PM me. and we'll chat.
:)
