Mini-Series Wars: The Borgias vs. Game of Thrones (http://andrewjpeterswrites.com/?p=1129)
I'm inspired by this, i might write my own entry on the matter :)
I was just thinking the other day how this is the first time I've EVER watched a unique and entertaining show from all three of the major networks of HBO, Showtime and Starz (Camelot being the third). I might do a 1v1v1 comparison sometime.
Also inspired by the idea of writing about Douglas Adams.
Darn it, I'm too lazy to write all of this. You guys all have very interesting blogs :)

Step 8: Pricing Strategies (http://davidgaughran.wordpress.com/2011/05/27/indie-publishing-for-international-writers-step-8-pricing-strategies/)
I don't talk about the ethics of the various price points, instead I assess the pros and cons of employing each strategy, and which may be the most suitable, given your goals. This could be anything from free up to $4.99 (or higher), depending on what you want, and how you do it. The key, I argue, is flexibility.

The muffins and pastries might have been of the utmost quality, I really could tell; everything tasted like ash today. Even coffee, which had long gone drunk. I hated working without a plan or a smidgen of control over a situation. I had neither in this room and felt like I was wandering around in my birthday suit.
“Your pacing’s making me sick,” Vexx snapped.

Lorelei bargains for her freedom.
Killing Time Ost - 22b - Numbers
An awkward pause, to say the least, followed the Gabriel’s relatively light-hearted intervention. Information had to sink in before the proper questions came to my mind and, apparently, my ‘allies’ allowed me to take that time.
That they expected me to kill my dad wasn’t an issue; I wanted to kill my dad. That they pushed my buttons so I would know my breaking points kind of made sense though it pissed me off. One major thing didn’t make sense though.

Killing Time OST - 22c - Numbers
As it turned out, the secret task force folks had indeed prepped an office for me. If I ever had any doubt they came in the conference room with their minds made up, the fancy underground space erased them. Calling it an office didn’t do it justice, actually; it was a war room with projectors, a coffee machine and a bunch of office supplies.

Entering the Army - June 1957 (http://lvcabbie.blogspot.com)
Now that I've finished four novels for submission to interested publishers and a short story also at a publisher, I wanted to take a break from finishing the third of my Father Serra's Legacy trilogy.
So, I went back to look at another project I'm sorta working on - my memoirs. I've posted one short part of it in An Army Ocean Voyage. I've also published Mekong Ambush. Now, I figured it was time to go back and work on the military part of my life. Part of it is to tell the younger generation what things were like "back then" and part is to elicit similar comments from the people on the military forums and blogs I regularly visit.
I've tried to make it interesting and entertaining. Comments are welcome - of course!

Killing Time OST - 23a - iBroker Souls
I slammed the door on Gabriel’s heels. I’d have to thank the man for agreeing to leave so I could have a fight with Lorelei. The damned woman sat on the table, all Zen and seemingly at peace with her crazy endeavor.
I knew her. I cradled her against me in her darkest moment. This should be one of them and yet she smiled.

Vexx and Gabriel have a "talk".
Killing Time OST - 23b - iBroker Souls
A week passed in arguments, deliveries and creation. I knew Lorelei wouldn’t change her mind and that, despite what she might say or think, she desperately needed support and approval; her father had spit on everything she was, after all. It tore me apart but I stood by her, ordering pieces of equipment and tuning, if not creating from scratch, what would go in her body. Gabriel, on the other hand, wouldn’t let it go.

Killing Time OST - 23c - iBroker Souls
Finishing the reboot chip hadn’t been that bad; despite my not working on it for about eight months, it kept developing in the back of my mind. Obsessions died hard. I thought I perfected my updated model and I tested it extensively in a controlled environment. Since the human body – especially Lorelei’s – was everything but controlled, my reluctance to put it in her hadn’t faded at all.

I have a guest post today at Claudie A.'s blog. It's a piece called "Science, Fiction & Truth" and I talk about some of my heroes and prejudices in science fiction, what goes into a “high concept” idea, and the Radium Girls. I really, really enjoyed writing this, and I would love if you checked it out. Oh, and she is giving away five free copies of my e-book.
