Awesome post, Lavina. I, too, understand that very well. I was fortunate to speak in great length and detail with my grandfather prior to his passing just over a year ago. The changes in 'history' that occurred during his life, war stories and all those days he spent out on the shrimping boat left me understanding the once seemingly cold man much better. :)

Luckily I have the next two days off so I plan on posting something slightly more interesting. Hopefully.

On Friday and Saturday I was tweaking my more active blogs, The Reviews (http://reviews.memoirista.com/) and The Process (http://process.memoirista.com) blogs at Memoirista, and selfhelpforibs.com (http://www.formytummy.com/)(For My Tummy).

All of them now have Amazon stores attached; for books on memoir at the Memoirista sites; andfor various things for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (mainly food) at selfhelpforibs.com (For My Tummy).

Then today I did an informational marathon at selfhelpforibs (For My Tummy), writing a short course on PREbiotics and PRObiotics. This is in advance of the widespread publicity soon to come--or already here--about Align(tm), which is a new PRObiotic specifically for Irritable Bowel syndrome. Phew!

So I'm bragging!

Also, I think all three blogs now have comments enabled. If you have a problem, let me know.

Indeed I did. I saw a TV ad for clinical trials for IBS-C, and tracked down a web site for another series of clinical trials for IBS-D. In other words, I didn't just string words, or rewrite material to make it simpler, I did some reportorial digging. This was on http://www.selfhelpforibs.com (http://formytummy.com/) (For My Tummy).

Then I did the self-quote routine for The Process blog at Memoirista.com. (http://process.memoirista.com/). I picked a name from the Absolute Blog blogroll, went to her site, and posted a comment. Then I liked it enough to post it to my site, with slight modifications--plagiarizing myself again.

And, of course, if you start to use the technique with a comment on my blog, that might help both of us!

Tonight in Bella Diana (http://bella-diana.blogspot.com/2007/07/thirty-three.html), the girls are attacked after leaving the safe house. Nothing graphic, although there's a bit of bad language, since outlaws aren't known for saying, "Gee, darn."

This was one of two scenes that were difficult for me to write, so feedback would be appreciated.

I'll make up for the favor with a bunny pic on my main blog a little later tonight. :)

I've updated today. I actually have 2 posts that I published today; one written last night however. Continuing with the topic at hand; the post from last night regards sayings that mean nothing when talking to a person who has suffered a loss. I've given reasoning why those sayings mean nothing below them and a bit of advise following. The other is about helping someone who has experienced a difficult loss. I actually talked briefly about one event that transpired after my son died and how my sister's helping turned into resentment.

Okay, Jennifer gave me something to blog about on my main blog - Thanks :) I'll work on that before my meeting at 5 with a potential illustrator for my test runs with my book.

On my bereavement page I did post today. I will probably copy that over to my parenting blog as well. It all goes hand in hand - but will add a bit more on that site. (Statistics, link to a major headlining story, etc)

Just a note- Frontier days is coming up quickly. Monday and Tuesday will be my only days off work for the next 11 days. I'll be tired and although I have a good start at my groundwork for articles and posts over the coming days, there will be a few days in that time that will be hit or miss depending on how tired I am. :) After all, the work is never done when the 'Daddy of 'em all' is in town...
